IMPORTANT NOTICE LANTITE TEST
LITERACY and NUMERACY TEST for INITIAL TEACHER EDUCATION (LANTITE)
The LANTITE tests are a Federal Government requirement for all Initial Teacher Education students and
is administered by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).
All students must pass both components (literacy and numeracy) of LANTITE at critical points in your degree.
Failure to do this may restrict your ongoing enrolment or eligibility to complete final placements in schools.
Bachelor of Teaching students must pass both components of LANTITE prior to the end of their third year of the Bachelor of Teaching degree to be eligible for enrolment into the fourth year of the degree.
Master of Teaching students must pass both components of LANTITE prior to their final placement.
Students are strongly encouraged to complete LANTITE in the first year of their degree or as soon as possible.
At the University of Adelaide, all teacher education students can claim reimbursement of the cost of the Literacy component of LANTITE. This is available to all students from 2019. The Reimbursement Form for claiming this cost can be applied for is available in the document section of this home page.
Important: Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students (LANTITE Information and 2024 Test Dates) (Registration required click here) You may pre-register for upcoming tests prior to the published dates for sitting the exam – please make this a priority as dates fill up very quickly.
